Sydney has opportunity to go to rehab center at The University of TennesseeSydney came to Wolf Creek Weimaraner Rescue in February, 2008 as a result of complications from a surgical procedure performed to remove a blood clot in her spinal cord. Sydney was left partially paralyzed, unable to use her rear legs. With lots of work from Dr. Marti Drum and her staff at UT Vet Hospital, as well as Amber, Laura, and the staff at Gray Dog Lodge, Sydney began her long journey to recovery and currently lives with Amber and Laura full-time, going to work with Amber on a daily basis.
Dr. Drum is enrolling Sydney in a clinical trial event within the next few weeks, hoping to improve Sydney's ability to ambulate. Even though Sydney will serve as a case study for important research, caring for her will not be inexpensive. Please download the flyer by clicking the link below to learn more about Sydney.
We encourage those who would like to provide financial assistance to consider making a special contribution to defray the cost of Sydney's special care. Simply use the PayPal link on the Wolf Creek Weimaraner Rescue homepage or send a check to assist with these costs. Simply entering a comment on the PayPal donation page or including a quick note with your check will ensure that these funds go directly to the cost of caring for Sydney! As always, the organization could not continue to function without your contributions. Stay tuned for future updates and see how your financial assistance is being used to help this girl regain her ability to move around with greater ease! |
