If you live outside of Tennessee, please contact us at info@wcweimrescue.org and we can provide you with the name of the closest Weimaraner rescue group that may be able to assist you. We realize that you have most likely thought long and hard before contacting us with this decision. Please know that we receive many surrender appeals to accept a Weimaraner into our rescue. During our years of operation we have always taken most seriously anyone who has taken the steps to relinquish responsibility for their Weim and have contacted us for help. The last two years have been unprecedented for the number of dogs being surrendered around the country. The most desperate plight is of the Weims who are left in shelters, where they face almost certain euthanasia.

In these extraordinary times for rescue groups where we are finding it difficult to find new foster homes, if your dog is accepted into rescue, we may ask that your Weim remain in your home until a suitable adoptive home is found. If we cannot accept your Weim into rescue, we may then offer you a Courtesy Listing of your Weim on our website. This will enhance your efforts of finding a forever home for your Weimaraner. The Courtesy Listing will feature a photo, a profile of your Weim, and will list your contact information so that potential homes may contact you directly. The screening process will be up to you as you know your dog best.
